Cancellation, Late Arrival & No Show:

Any cancellations for both bodywork & astrology with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $50. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service. Time for my clients and myself is valuable, and I have implemented this policy for this reason. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore regrettably late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments.

Confidentiality Policy:

I treat all client readings, visits, conditions, and personal information as confidential. As such, I will not discuss your visit or reading with anybody outside our container without your express permission. In regards to bodywork, you may choose to talk not talk during the session. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.

Underage Clientele Policy:

Minors under the age of 18 will not be seen at this establishment for either bodywork or astrology. For special cases, a minor can be accompanied by a guardian who must be present in the room or in the session for the entirety of the session. For bodywork we will ask for proof of age via documentation.

Informed Consent

Prior to each massage session, my treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out new client intake form.

Scope of Practice

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. I may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. My services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment

Respect for Clients Needs & Boundaries

I am happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it. The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time. The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be un-draped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the therapist is NEVER appropriate and I will end the session immediately.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the me informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions. For clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapies – Please note that I require a doctor’s note that states the doctor is aware of and agrees to the desired treatment

Pregnancy

It is the responsibility of the client to let the practitioner know about pregnancies before the appointment, or the practitioner has the right to cancel the session. I do not specialize in prenatal massage and can provide relaxation services up until the 3rd trimester. I will be happy to refer you to specialized bodywork therapists throughout your pregnancy and look forward to continuing our treatment after delivery.
